How can I Support DoulaCare Hawai'i?
-Financial contributions! Yes, like most non-profit organizations, we too are in dire need of funding. Rest assured that 100% of your tax-deductable donation will be put to good use in meeting the goals of DoulaCare Hawai'i. Please let us know if you need a copy of our Letter of Determination verifying our tax-deductible 501(c)(3) status for your tax return. These are other things we need help with now:
-Getting flyers or brochures out!!!
-Calling doulas to invite them to appropriate Big Island Consortium meetings to bring awareness to other organizations of our existence.
-Contacting Newspapers and TV. Writing articles for publication about DoulaCare Hawai'i and our services.
-Informing obstetricians and hospitals about our program.
-Coordinating continuing education and support events for doulas and apprentice midwives.
-Getting volunteers to fix meals after the baby is born and getting them to the moms.
